The Best Potato Chips Ever
The potato chip is as American as apple pie, which can be good or bad. With almost every packed lunch for work you will find a bag of chips. People love the taste, texture and affordability of potato chips, that’s just a fact. Here is a list of my top three favorite potato chip brands and flavors.
01)Â Archer Farms Sea Salt & Vinegar
The Archer Farms brand of potato chips has become one of the most popular chip sellers due to their variety of flavors and their crisp, fresh taste. They have many great flavors but the sea salt and vinegar chips they offer have to be their crowning achievement. With just the right hint of vinegar and a subtle but powerful sea salt taste, these chips have to be ranked in the higher echelon of classic potato chip flavors. Try them for yourself and see what I mean.
02) Doritos Cool Ranch
The classic Doritos chip flavor reminds me of BBQs, motorcycle parts and college dorms everywhere, Cool Ranch is synonymous with hamburgers, parties, music and general fun and debauchery for me. The unique flavor of Cool Ranch has not yet been successfully emulated by any other potato chip maker in the United States making this brand one of the most popular and best selling (for good reason) in America. We guarantee you cannot escape the greatness of this potato chip flavor.
03) Lay’s Classic
You can’t go wrong with the classic Lay’s potato chip flavor. Some people think that Lay’s Classic is too greasy for a potato chip but these people are probably used to the rubbery texture of their oven-baked, kettle chips which are a very different kind of chip than the Lay’s Classic and doesn’t even really compare. If you want to taste what a classic potato chip should taste like, free of the artificial flavoring and clever (sometimes too much so) flavors like pizza or Taco Bell, than you’ve got to renew your love with the Lay’s Classic chips. You’ll feel like you just went back in time to a simpler day.
