mini Mound candy bars recipe for the Holidays…but I have a question about it?

mini Mound candy bars recipe calls for 3/4 bar of paraffin but i know i can use shortening, how much shortening? I don’t want to use too much in place of the paraffin. Does anyone know the correct answer to this?

The paraffin is to harden the chocolate and make it shiny. You can’t replace shortening for paraffin.
